UD Almería handed fitness boost as Robertone rejoins group training

Luis Suárez begins to do part of the practice with the rest of his team-mates, while Gonzalo Melero is now doing ball work on the sidelines. Final preparations for Thursday's fixture against CA Osasuna in Pamplona

UD Almería have been handed a fitness boost as Lucas Robertone has rejoined group training this Tuesday at the Power Horse Stadium while Luis Suárez has also taken part in the session with the rest of his team-mates. Gonzalo Melero has left the gym to exercise on the grass, although on the sidelines. This is good news at the beginning of 2024, although the availability of the Argentinian midfielder will depend on his progress in the next few hours, especially when there is still one more day of training left before travelling to Pamplona.

UD Almería have not stopped working either on 31st December or on New Year's Day as the squad continues with their preparation for the Thursday's match against CA Osasuna at the El Sadar Stadium (KO 5pm Spanish Time, Matchday 19). It will be the last game of the first half of the championship. There is one more session this Wednesday to find out which players Gaizka Garitano has available since last Thursday, when training resumed after the Christmas holidays, Marc Pubill and Marezi were told by the Club's medical services that they are fit for work but both lack rhythm and competition.

Mendes, Baba and Marciano are away on international duty with the teams of their respective home countries to participate in the African Cup of Nations, while Koné continues to recover from his serious injury in the medical room and in the gym.
