Nacho Vila: 'We all have to work together to secure league safety'

The new UD Almería 'B' left-back looks to get minutes and establish himself in Segunda RFEF, a tier that he knows well since last season he played in it with UD Alzira

The new UD Almería 'B' signing gave an interview to the Club's official media in which it was possible to learn more about the young left-back. Regarding his recent arrival, Nacho Vila stated: 'I'm very happy with the group. The adaptation is being easy, the fact that we're all young kids helps when it comes to integrating well.'

The new summer recruit spoke about the role of head coach Alberto Lasarte, not only individually but with the squad in general: 'I think things will go very well with him. From the first moment, he was keen on me coming, he's a very approachable coach, who makes sure that the players give their best in each training session.'

Regarding the pre-season, Nacho Vila considered that 'training will begin to be more intense this week, but for now I see the team well. Physically, we've all arrived in good shape.' In addition, he recognised that he is a fairly versatile full-back since he can convert himself into a centre-back and even adopt more attacking positions: 'When I was little I shot up front a lot, but in youth I had to adapt to a more defensive profile. This year, I played more as a winger, so I've returned to those offensive tasks. I can participate in this position, as a winger and even in a line of three as a left-back.' However, he stated that 'as a pure full-back with a winger in front, passing and doubling, arriving in a breakaway, is how I feel most comfortable.'

'My individual goal is to get as many minutes as possible. I want to be as regular as I was at UD Alzira and continue playing. Collectively, as the head coach says, remain in the tier; We're a new team and we all have to work together to secure league safety,' concluded the left wing back.
