Summer football camp youngsters in first-team training

The 65 boys and girls who participate in the Club's Foundation initiative make a tour of the Stadium and enjoy seeing the UD Almería players train before meeting them

UD Almería have completed the third pre-season training session, which has been being really demanding. At the end of the practice, the head coach Rubi and several squad players have met the youngsters participating in the UDA Foundation Summer training camp. For the kids, it has been a sheer joy because they have enjoyed chatting to their idols. It is one of the fresh initiatives that wants implement the gaffer this season, as he already announced in the press conference of his official presentation. He wants different groups, at specific times, to be able to see first-team training sessions. 

The third session of the 2024/25 pre-season, which lasted two hours in the scorching heat, has focused on many football concepts with plenty of ball work. 

The day has been very special. The 65 young participants in the summer training camp that is being developed at the Constantino Cortés Sports Complex located in Los Molinos neighbourhood, have changed the setting and headed to the Power Horse Stadium; first to see the first team players training, which they have followed showing great interest and admiration. Then, they had a meeting with Rubi and the players, with whom they have taken photos and asked for autographs. Afterwards, the kids took a break with a healthy brekkie and they rounded off the day at the Stadium with a tour of its different facilities. 

As for the UD Almería squad, there will be a double training session this Friday at 9am and 6:30pm; On Saturday, the Rojiblancos will be put through their paces behind closed doors, and Sunday will be a day off to conclude the first demanding week of the pre-season.
