Vicente Moreno: We've seen part of the UD Almería we want

The UD Almería head coach assures that losing the way his team has done surprises him. He also says that it is still early days and has no doubt that they will continue to improve

UD Almería head coach Vicente Moreno did not hesitate to state in the press conference after the match against Real Madrid CF that 'today we've seen part of the UD Almería we want.' He did not hesitate to admit that they continue to improve, although there is still way ahead due to the continuous changes in the squad as the transfer window is still open.

Despite the Rojiblancos' good performance, the gaffer was not happy because 'this is all about winning. We've had two good Matchdays. Last time we were the team in the entire league that created the most chances.' 'Today, we've registered 16 shots on goal against Real Madrid CF. It's hard because we've deserved a lot more in the two first games...against Real Madrid CF, it's valued a little more, but I'm surprised as you can see,' he said.

Also, Vicente Moreno stressed: 'When you play tough opponents like Real Madrid CF, you have to take advantage of the moments you're in front of the goal. They can still beat you though. I've got the feeling that we've threatened a lot, but they've found the back of the net too easy, or perhaps because of the high quality and enormous potential they have. When you depart from the script that you have planned to beat Real Madrid, you put yourself at their mercy, it's clear that you cannot and they can even score another goal. We haven't found our reward.'

Despite the squad's improvement compared to the league opener against Rayo Vallecano, he stressed: 'you can't settle for a draw or a loss. We're a rebuilt team, but it's still early days. I have no doubt that there will be improvement and I'm convinced that we're going to have a fantastic season.'
