Quintanilla, a 22-year-old midfielder, who moves from Mallorca 'B', becomes the first UD Almería 'B' signing for the next 2024/25 season after the agreement reached by both parties.
Rubén Quintanilla Rodríguez was born on 3rd April, 2022 in Barcelona. After training at Damm he joined the RCD Mallorca youth team in the 2020/21 campaign. A year later, he made the leap to the 'B' team, was loaned out to Granollers and upon his return he moved back to the second team of RCD Mallorca, although he was part of the first team. In fact, last season 2023/24, he played the Spanish Cup and even played a few minutes in LaLiga against FC Barcelona with Javier Aguirre in the driving seat.
The new UD Almería 'B' footballer is a defensive midfielder who crosses like a boss and covers a lot of the pitch.
