Lasarte: 'We'll be visited by the number one candidate for automatic promotion'

UD Almería 'B', current Segunda RFEF Group IV table-toppers once again have a new tough match because although it is true that they have previously faced rivals such as FC Águilas or Linense, now Linares Deportivo arrive at midday this Sunday. 'For me, they're the number one candidate for automatic promotion,' said UD Almería 'B' gaffer Alberto Lasarte as he knows the opponents like the back of his hand as he worked there for several seasons. 

 

The Jaén native head coach acknowledged: 'They're still under construction, but on an individual level, they have the best players in the division.' He warns of their enormous potential, their set-pieces and the fact that 'they've won their home games, but not away, and if they want to be at the top they also have to add points in threes in away games.'

 

The youthful Rojiblancos will try to prevent it because as Mr Lasarte says: 'We'll play our tricks in the best way to keep on the right track. There are two victories and a draw, which has earned them the lead. It's nice to be first and you earn the respect of others, but we've only been there for three days. The important thing here is to add 40 points as soon as possible to secure league safety.'

 

The league event is a new challenge for the UDA 'B' team that will try to continue surprising in their Segunda RFEF debut against rivals relegated from the Primera RFEF and for whom the scenario may be in their favour: 'We're an attacking team, that play and on top of that we have a good pitch,' stressed Alberto Lasarte. 

 

Linares will be supported by devoted fans and the man in the driving seat of UD Almería 'B' hopes to have the support of the UD Almería fans. Season-ticket holders have free access, while tickets will go on general sale for €10. Capacity is limited due to the characteristics of the UD Almería Anexo ground.
