Marc Pubill will be operated on by Dr Ripoll this Wednesday
The UD Almería right-back is still nursing a knee injury and it has been decided that he needs surgery in the end. The 20-year-old will be on the treatment table for around 3 months
UD Almería right-back Marc Pubill is going to undergo knee surgery this Wednesday by the prestigious orthopaedic surgeon Pedro Luis Ripoll. Unfortunately, the player picked up a knee issue in his left knee a few weeks ago -he missed out the game against Villarreal CF- and despite the attempts of the Club medical services to help him recover through conservative treatment, Pubill is not progressing as thought.
For this reason, after assessing the Terrassa native's condition, Club's medical services head Diego Portugal, the footballer and also Dr Pedro Luis Ripoll, have decided that the best option for Marc Pubill is to undergo surgery on the cartilage in his left knee.
The surgery will be performed in Murcia and the 20-year-old player is likely to spend a three-month stint on the treatment table.
