Marc Pubill scores in first Olympic Games fixture

The UD Almería player starts for Spain, grabs the opener for the Spanish team and puts in a brilliant performance in the first Paris 2024 game

UD Almería players Marc Pubill could not have had a better debut at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games since he was the main protagonist in the Spanish team's first match at the Paris event. Spain, on Matchday 1 of Group C, beat Uzbekistan 1-2 at the Parc des Princes. The Rojiblanco started, scored the opener for the national team and completed a brilliant match, being one of the most outstanding players of the match.

The UD Almería player was the owner of his wing since in addition to putting in a good defensive display, he did not stop going up the right flank and creating danger. In the 28th minute, in a set-piece, Spain's play opened the scoring 0-1.

Next Saturday, 27th July at 3pm, the Spanish squad face the Dominican Republic team in Bordeaux. On 30th July, the Spaniards will play the third group match against Egypt, also at 3pm.
