Marc Pubill's surgery was a success

The Almería right-back has undergone surgery in his left knee by prestigious orthopaedic surgeons Pedro Luis Ripoll and Mariano de Prado in Murcia

UD Almería right-back Marc Pubill underwent surgery successfully this Wednesday over an injury in his left knee by prestigious orthopaedic surgeons Pedro Luis Ripoll and Mariano de Prado, operation in which the Club's medical services head Diego Portugal Maziel has also collaborated as he has been at all times supporting the footballer.

The operation took place at the Ripoll and De Prado Sport Clinic at the Quirón Hospital of Murcia. The 20-year-old UD Almería player had been diagnosed with osteochondritis dissecans, so that a heterologous graft has been performed.

The operation lasted around fifty minutes and the recovery period of the young player, whose rehabilitation begins right now, will take approximately four months.

On the other hand, and under the supervision of Dr Diego Portugal Maziel, Ripoll has agreed on continuing the conservative treatment on the partial fibula fracture Luis Suárez suffered last Sunday against Granada CF at the Power Horse Stadium. The rehab period will last about three months and the Colombian striker will make a comeback from injury depending on his recovery process.
