Jonathan Viera's spell at UD Almería comes to an end

The Club and the player have reached an agreement to terminate his contract. The Canarian attacking midfielder said goodbye to his team-mates and the coaching staff this Monday

Jonathan Viera and UD Almería signed an agreement early this Monday morning by which the Canary Islands footballer and the Club terminate his contract that would be up next year after the 2024/25 season. The 34-year-old attacking midfielder rejoined the UD Almería squad a week ago to take part in the pre-season and has been training under Rubi's guidelines until last Saturday.

Jonathan Viera signed for UD Almería on 6th February for the remainder of the campaign and another one. In the 2023/24 season, the Gran Canaria player played practically every game since his arrival. He debuted on Matchday 25 in Granada. In total, he played twelve games, all of them as a starter, producing three assists.

UD Almería thank Jonathan Viera for the professionalism and commitment that he has shown at all times during his spell in the Club as he arrived in a difficult situation since the team were already condemned to relegation.
