The UD Almería head coach keeps league survival hopes alive although he assures: 'We must show it on the pitch' because he is well aware that 'right now we aren't in the fight.'

UD Almería head coach Gaizka Garitano previewed Monday's fixture against Sevilla FC and assured that the team will go into the game with 'renewed strength since we have another opportunity to win and we must look for that victory that will help them remain in the league picture until the numbers say otherwise.

The Bilbao-born also stated that the defeat in Vigo 'was very hard because it was a very good opportunity to enter the race for safety' although he clarified: 'We've recovered players and joined forces to be able to win the next game at home.'

The Rojiblancos' gaffer is fully aware that although he keeps hopes to stay up in the top tier alive, 'We aren't in the fight and we have to show that on the pitch, day after day with professionalism. Hopefully, tomorrow we'll achieve that victory.'

'They're a rivals who are current Europa League champions and who are going to be very tough to defeat. They play in their own way, they're great at set-pieces and based on that, we'll try to face them with courage. They're a great team, although they've with problems, now they have found their game with Quique Sánchez Flores in the driving seat. We must do very well to overcome them,' he explained.

Regarding the injury latest for this Matchday 28, the Basque Country native assured: 'Baptistao and Luka are well and recovered; both are available for a match in which we have to field players with strength, speed and height.'

Gaizka Garitano also praised the dedication and full commitment of the UD Almeria fans: 'The fans are the ones who are giving it their all this season, in every game, in every training session, we do it to defend this crest. We must compete until the end, keep hope and look only at ourselves, not at others, that's wasting time.'

To bring his pre-Sevilla press conference to end, Mr Garitano was completely honest about the team's season. 'It's being very hard for everyone, especially for me, but I'm okay and working hard daily,' he concluded.
