Gaizka Garitano will no longer be UD Almería head coach
The Bilbao-born puts an end to a five-month spell as a Rojiblanco gaffer, in which he has been in the driving seat in 19 LaLiga EA Sports matches and 2 Spanish Cup ties
Gaizka Garitano will no longer be a UD Almería head coach once the Club and the Bilbao-born have signed on this Wednesday evening the end of his contract.
The Basque Country native head coach puts an end to a five-month spell as a Rojiblanco gaffer, a period of time in which he has been in the driving seat in 19 LaLiga EA Sports matches and two Spanish Cup ties.
Mr Garitano took over the reins of the UD Almería first-team on 8th October, 2023 to replacing former head coach Vicente Moreno, who began the season and with whom the Club decided, a few weeks before, terminate his contract on the past 29th September, 2023. Between one coach and the other, UD Almería 'B' head coach Alberto Lasarte was in charge of the senior team on a interim basis in two fixtures.
UD Almería thank Gaizka Garitano and his coaching team sincerely for the professionalism and total commitment that they have shown at all times towards the Club, wishing them the best of luck in the future.
