Vicente Moreno: We have to compete and do it very well in Cádiz

'We have to compete very well and also do things very well in Cádiz', stated UD Almería head coach Vicente Moreno at the pre-Cadiz press conference ahead of this Saturday's fixture at the Nuevo Mirandilla Stadium (KO 7pm Spanish Time).

The Valencian gaffer indicated: 'We've prepared the game conscientiously to try to win it,' and then added: 'It's the third fixture of the championship and we want to win now, although Cádiz CF want to do the same for sure.'

Vicente Moreno has also praised the rivals' strengths about whom he said: 'They're really difficult to overcome due to their playing characteristics, but also on their pitch it's even more difficult because their fans supports them a lot there and have helped the club achieve its objectives. I haven't played or trained there, but I've been very close to it and I know that this is a reality.'

The UD Almería head coach highlighted: 'What Cádiz CF have been doing in recent seasons truly deserves praise and it's thanks to the work of its president and board of directors, the coaching staff, whom I know well... I value it very much.'

Vicente Moreno, who believes that the UD Almería squad is undergoing changes and a game system due to the renewal of the players and its football style, regretted: 'In attack, we've done many things well that normally have a reward and we haven't had it, and in defence, we've suffered too much punishment in specific moments in which we've conceded goals,' which he considered that they have to be stronger in the areas, because as he explained: 'Considering all that has happened between one and the other box, we've also done many things well.'

Vicente Moreno, who is waiting for the transfer window deadline to find out what players he has to count on and adjust the concepts, was asked about the latest news related to RFEF President Rubiales and his response was clear: 'I'd just like to highlight the great achievement of the Spanish women's team. What they've achieved it's amazing, a milestone... and it should be given more importance... What has been achieved is of incalculable value for women's football and for Spanish football.'
