El Bilal Touré progresses well with rehab from serious injury

The UD Almería striker, who underwent surgery in late March, continues road to recovery on the pitch but on the sidelines

UD Almería striker El Bilal Touré is progressing well with his rehabilitation from the serious injury he sustained last March at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium. In fact, the Adjame native has already begun to work his way back to full recovery by running and kicking the ball, although the Club's medical services have warned him that he must be patient and take it easy.

The head of medical services at UD Almería, Dr Diego Portugal, has stated: ‘His progress is much better than we could expect at this point.’ It looks like his physical fitness and mental toughness is helping him enormously.

The Malian centre-forward, who was adopting a leading attacking role in the squad, hurt the right rectus femoris in his right thigh on 12th March in the away match against Sevilla FC. Ten days later, he was operated on by orthopaedic surgeon Pedro Luis Ripoll. The recovery period was said to be long and he had no choice but to say goodbye to the season.

The 21-year-old footballer will not be available in the coming weeks unfortunately even though he is progressing satisfactorily with his rehabilitation.
