UD Almería take a break before facing new challenge

The Rojiblancos have completed an active recovery session before resting this Tuesday

UD Almería have started a week of preparations for Saturday's fixture as they will be playing host to Athletic Club de Bilbao from 4:15pm (Spain Time). Those players who clocked up more minutes at the Cívitas Metropolitano Stadium have completed a recovery session on the Anexo training ground. The practice was more intense for the rest of the squad members.

This Tuesday will be a day off for the team, so they will get some fresh air before facing a new challenge such as trying to beat Athletic in a bid to take a new step towards Primera Division safety.

Pozo, who finally did not join the squad list in Madrid due to discomfort experienced during the last training session last week, as well as Akieme, have trained on the sidelines. Mendes, who was forced to withdraw against Atlético de Madrid, is getting medical tests done. UD Almeria ‘B’ keeper Mer and Marciano, who played with the ‘B’ team against UD Torre del Mar yesterday, have joined the senior players in this Monday’s session.

The footballers will be getting back to work at the training base on Wednesday (10:30am).
