UD Almería ready to take on a Champions League team

The Rojiblancos will arrive at the Reale Arena Stadium 4 points clear of the relegation zone, so they will compete without severe stress and with more confidence

UD Almería are playing the third-to-last fixture of the season at 7:30pm (Spanish Time) this Tuesday. Real Sociedad are hosting the Rojiblancos, who will head into the game 4 points clear of the relegation zone, at the Reale Arena Stadium for a demanding game. Thanks to that advantage over the three bottom teams, UD Almería will compete without severe stress, with more confidence and willing to try to spring a surprise against powerful adversaries.

Even if the Indálicos happen to leave San Sebastián empty-handed, they will still have their fate in their own hands. Not only UD Almería have a tough game against Real Sociedad, but also some other teams locked in a desperate fight for their lives will be playing powerful adversaries from the top of the table: Real Valladolid CF vs FC Barcelona; Cádiz CF vs Villarreal CF; Getafe CF vs Real Betis or Espanyol de Barcelona vs Atlético de Madrid. It is a Matchday that will see sides from the bottom half of the table competing against those at the top.

Real Sociedad gaffer Imanol Alguacil has referred to this game as a final because his team could be placed fourth, a spot that secures a Champions League spot. He has even said that it is time to risk, and on top of that, they host one of the teams with the weakest away form. The
bookies will be banking on as home win, yet UD Almería are determined to prove them wrong by winning the millionaire prize of LaLiga Santander survival. Why not?

Once the Rojiblancos finished one last  behind-closed-doors training session on Monday morning, the travelling squad jetted into San Sebastián, via Vitoria, at midday. The practice was held under heavy rain and the weather forecast predicts pouring rain this Tuesday at the Reale Arena Stadium.
El último entrenamiento se ha celebrado bajo una intensa lluvia.
