UD Almería to face another double-header this weekend

The Rojiblancos play this Saturday against Málaga CF at the Marbella Football Center (KO 7:30pm) and on Sunday at La Quinta against Al-Sadd SC (KO 7pm). Both meetings on the Club's Twitch channel and on UDA Radio

UD Almería are immersed in the final stretch of their third pre-season training week, which is turning out to be really intense since after the double training session on Friday, there is another double-header this Saturday and Sunday. With 28 players (including Koné and Rachad) at the La Quinta training camp located between the Málaga-based towns of Marbella and Banahavís, head coach Rubi continues to work hard both physically and tactically with his squad.

After the first friendly victory over Granada CF, who will be direct rivals in the league and losing in France to Champions League side SL Benfica, two more friendlies are fast approaching.

The first of them will be played at 7:30pm this Saturday against recently-promoted Málaga CF who will also be opponents in the official season. The stage will be the main pitch of the Marbella Football Center and the tickets, which have been put on sale at the price of €16.50, are nearly sold out, can only be booked online through the Marbella Football Center official website. It must be taken into account that the capacity is limited and the demand from Málaga CF fans is great.

The second friendly takes place at 7pm on Sunday at the La Quinta facilities, where UD Almería training camp is being held. The Indálicos face Al-Sadd SC, the most successful club in Qatar and one of the most prestigious on the Asian continent. They have been a Champions League winners and participated in the FIFA Club World Cup. Former Valladolid CF winger Gonzalo Plata, who is going to complete his second season in Qatar, as well as Gran Canaria striker Rafa Mujica, who has been signed by the Portuguese side FC Arouca for €10m. Their head coach is Félix Sánchez Bas after leaving the Ecuadorian national team after being eliminated in the CONMEBOL Copa América. He is not the first head coach from Spain at SC Al-Sadd, since Javi Gracia, Juan Manuel Lillo, and Xavi Hernández also coached them previously. The former FC Barcelona gaffer was a player for the Qatari team, where Raúl González and Romario also played.

The two summer friendly matches can be followed live through the UD Almería Twitch channel and on UDA Radio.
