Sergio Arribas is on board at UD Almería
The talented attacking midfielder, one of the gems of Spanish football, puts pen-to-paper on a six-year deal and moves from Real Madrid CF
UD Almería are delighted to announce the signing of Sergio Arribas from Real Madrid CF. He is one of the gems of Spanish football and has been a highly sought-after footballer in this summer transfer window. Despite being only 21 years old, he is clearly going places.
Sergio Arribas Calvo was born in Madrid on 30th September, 2001 and began his footballing career at CD Leganés Youth, first, and Real Madrid CF Academy later. He has progressed through different ranks at La Fábrica until creating a niche for himself at Real Madrid Castilla with Raúl González at the helm, a team that was on the verge of earning promotion to the second tier last season. He has also been called up to the Real Madrid CF senior team and has played 10 league fixtures for Ancelotti's squad, in addition to participating also in the Spanish Cup, Champions League and Club World Cup.
Arribas, who has signed for six seasons with UD Almería, is a hugely talented left-footed attacking midfielder with tons of creativity and eye for goal. He can also operate as a right and left winger.
