Alberto Lasarte: 'We'll have to play a very good game in Malaga to beat them'

The UD Almería 'B' gaffer considers the result against Atlético Malagueño to be important, but emphasises: 'Nothing has been done yet and the second leg will be extremely tough'

UD Almería 'B' head coach Alberto Lasarte, has looked ahead to the play-offs second leg after the 3-1 victory over promotion-chasing Atlético Malagueño in the first leg of the play-offs for promotion to Segunda RFEF. 'Nothing has been done yet and we'll have to play a very good game in Malaga to beat them,' he assured. On that note, he added: 'The third goal may be important, but we must not forget that a 2-0 gives them access to the next round.'

When talking about the upcoming match, Mr Lasarte explained: 'It was an evenly-matched game' and he considered it key 'to have the patience that we lacked in the two games we played against Atlético Malagueño in the regular season.' He also highlighted: 'The changes have given us a lot of strength.'

Alberto Lasarte was deeply grateful to UD Almería first-team head coach Pepe Mel 'because of his willingness so that 'B' team youngsters who are training regularly with the first teamers were able to be with us this afternoon.' Likewise, he praised the unwavering support from the fans, which was decisive and the Club's backing that the 'B' team is having.

When asked about the second leg, Lasarte answered: 'It's going to be extremely tough. They like to dominate. It's something that we must take into account and be very observant and focused at all times. Also, like us, they'll count there with the support of their fans, but we know how to compete and I'm pretty sure that we'll know how to be on a par with them.'
