Alberto Lasarte: 'We are once again facing the toughest challenge'

The UD Almería 'B' head coach looks up to the grand play-offs final against CD Toledo: 'The desire to move up a tier is highest'

UD Almería 'B' head coach Alberto Lasarte has looked ahead to the grand play-offs final that his side will have to face on Sunday at the CD Toledo stadium: 'They're going to push, they're going to fill the pitch and they're going to go all out for a victory from the off, but let no one consider us done. I'm fully convinced that we're going to achieve promotion.'

Mr Lasarte summarised the circumstances and context in which the last game of the season will take place this Sunday: 'We're once again facing the most difficult game yet.' The 'B' team Rojiblancos are going to find themselves from 7pm local time on Sunday with a stadium that will be filled to capacity and with a historic team and devoted fans, although the UD Almería 'B' gaffer already warns: 'Our players know what it's to compete under the pressure that they're going to find at the 'Salto del Caballo.' On that note, the Jaén native indicated: 'This week I wanted to relieve the players a little more of the motivational pressure that surrounds the game because we're all aware of what we have at stake.'

Two promotion-chasing teams will face each other with effective tactics and prowess. 'They haven't lost at home since January but we haven't lost away from home in a long time,' underlined the Indálicos coach. It's worth remembering that if the match ends in a tie, on this occasion, in addition to extra time there will be a penalties: 'I don't think we'll reach the spot-kick sudden death because I don't know if we'll be able to see those penalties. I insist, I don't think it'll happen.'

To conclude his press conference before, Alberto made an assessment of the campaign with UD Almería 'B' and highlighted: 'The season has been excellent, the team has shown how to push forwards and secure the play-offs stab which was the main objective. Promotion is merely the icing on the cake. The players are really eager to achieve it.'
