Alberto Lasarte: 'I'm optimistic. We're going to go to La Victoria to win'

The UD Almería 'B' head coach argues: 'Before starting encounter, we knew we had to win one of the games so we're fully involved in the play-offs and have many chances to qualify.'

'I'm optimistic; We're going to La Victoria to win and that's what I 've told the players as soon as the game ended. We're going to win in Jaén,' stated UD Almería 'B' head coach Alberto Lasarte after the match played at the Power Horse Stadium against Real Jaén, corresponding to the first leg of the semi-finals of the play-offs for promotion to Segunda RFEF.

The UDA Rojiblancos went ahead twice, but ended up tying 'It doesn't feel good that they score a goal in stoppage time in the 90+2'. The players are screwed now. It's logical, but starting Monday we'll begin to work and lift the group up,' said the UDA Academy hesd coach.

Mr Lasarte regretted 'The lack of effectiveness that we've had in the finishing of the plays,' something that he considered key. In fact, he explained in this regard that 'in the second half, with the changes, the two teams went all out for the same, but in the opening period we've dominated. We took 9 corner-kicks. It was our game, although we needed to be more effective, as I said.'

The UD Almería Academy youth team's gaffer reflected: 'They know how to manage their team very well, situations in this play-offs because they have recorded three draws in as many games. They're a team with experience and quality and they handle different aspects of the game perfectly. Even though we had 12 players who come from the youth side and we have our tactics that we will put into practice in Jaén.'

'Before starting this battle, we knew we had to win one of the games, so we're in the mood to  do well in the knockout round and with many chances to qualify,' he added.

On the other hand, Lasarte highlighted the great atmosphere experienced at the Power Horse Stadium: 'It was a party and it didn't seem like it was a meeting of the Tercera RFEF.' Alberto Lasarte, who is from Jaén believes that Real Jaén will perform just as well as UD Almería 'B' have done with the Club from the capital of 'Santo Reino' and with its fans.
