Active recovery session before preparing for Friday’s meeting with Real Oviedo
The Rojiblancos trained after noon as soon as they arrived from Cartagena. They are training on Wednesday evening at the Anexo training pitch
UD Almería performed an active recovery training session as soon as they arrived from Cartagena. It was a training session that began after noon since the UD Almeria travelling squad left Cartagena at 9:45 am after spending the night in that city.
Given that the Matchday 2 fixture is going to be played at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium this Friday (kick-off 10pm), it is as important to be able to prepare for the match against Real Oviedo as it is the players recovery.
The starters from the beginning in Cartagena exercised on the stadium's indoor warm-up track and then had physiotherapy treatment, while the others worked out at the gym and took to the pitch for some low-intensity exercises too.
While the UD Almeria footballers will be put through their paces this Wednesday (7pm) at the training base, the Anexo, they will be training again in the Stadium on Thursday and Friday before the second league game of the 2021/22 season.
