3-4: UD Almería Women getting closer to play-off spots
The Rojiblancas beat Sevilla FC 'B' Women at home, who had won every game on their pitch. Second back-to-back victory in 7-goal thriller game to extend their unbeaten streak to seven games
UD Almería Women are on fire as they have achieved another great 3-4 comeback victory away from home against Sevilla FC 'B' Women. It was an electric match full of end-to-end activity that got the Rojiblancas closer to the promotion play-off spots. The victory was remarkable considering that there were key absences such as Blanca, who had surgery a few days ago as well as internacionals Jessi and Paqui Campoy, who are with the Spanish beach soccer team.
The rivals had won every game on home soil and without conceding a goal but UD Almería put an end to their home unbeaten streak. Furthermore, the Sevillians are in privileged positions, but the Indálicas, with great work, imposed their game with all fairness, thus achieving their second consecutive victory and extending their unbeaten run to seven games.
The first half saw two evenly-matched sides, although the Seville players were more effective and managed to go into the break leading. The changes made by UD Almería Women at half-time, bringing on Liubov and Gisela, were key because they were in charge of scoring the goals with two doubles to certify all the good display of the team in a truly action-packed period.
