3-1: UD Almería B defeated by UD Maracena
The UDA youthful Rojiblancos were outclassed by the Granada-based team. Although they remain in play-off positions, they cannot suffer more defeats if they do not want to leave the VIP zone
UD Almería 'B' have been defeated by UD Maracena. Even though the hosts were in the relegation zone, thanks to this victory, they have managed to escape the dangerous positions in the table. Previously, the opponents were level on points with the teams in safe positions. In the first half, the Macarena lads netted in the 19th minute. In the second half, Iván extended their lead with a goal 55 minutes in, although the youthful Rojiblancos managed to pull one back with a stunner at the hands of Luis Lara, however, the home side did not miss the opportunity to secure victory and in the 79th minute, Somavilla sealed the final score 3-1.
In the opening part, UD Almería 'B' could quickly feel the need of the hosts to leave the drop zone and they were aware that with a victory, they could do so, so in the 19th minute, Somavilla levelled it up.
UD Almería 'B' tried to react, but they found themselves trailing 1-0 at half-time. The second period began with a triple substitution by head coach Alberto Lasarte in which he looked for a more offensive approach by bringing on Loren, Abel and Luis Lara.
During the early stages it was obvious that this move had been successful as Abel came very close to equalising through a free-kick, although his shot went just wide. Nonetheless, the home team broke the deadlock again; In the 55th minute Iván made it 2-0. Despite this blow, the youthful Indálicos did not give up and Luis Lara, with a scorcher, pulled one back and made the Granada-based outfit nervous.
UD Almería 'B' created clear chances to level it up, but misfortune prevented them from scoring. The Indálico team took the game to them, out of the blue, UD Maracena put the gane to bed since Somavilla scored the final 3-1 which leaves the Indálicos with no possibility of failure on the next Matchday if they do not want to leave the play-off zone.
