2-1: New victory propels UD Almería 'B' to play-offs zone

The UD Almería prospects beat San Fernando CDI as they sit fifth in the standings, just two points behind the pacesetters. Joan and Cantón scored the goals. Bruno Iribarne saved a penalty with the result of 1-1

UD Almería 'B' achieved a new victory against promotion-chasing San Fernando CDI that propelled them to the play-offs zone. It is the second consecutive victory for the youthful Rojiblancos and they sit fifth, just two points behind the pacesetters. The 'B' team's season is outstanding as Alberto Lasarte's boys demonstrate, despite their Segunda RFEF debut and young players, a maturity and good football.

UD Almería 'B' no longer find it difficult to start the games well. On the contrary, they are starting to score early, as happened against San Fernando under the pouring rain. After 9 minutes, Joan opened the scoring, although the opponents tied very soon, in the 11th minute, but this did not influence the Rojiblancos who knew how to play their tricks and avoid the complete reaction of their rivals, with much greater experience. There were even chances for the Indálicos to leave in front.

A few minutes after the restart, San Fernando CDI nearly broke the deadlock through a penalty that Bruno Iribarne saves in style. From that moment on, the 'B' team controlled the situation and went all out in search of victory. In the 81st minute, Cantón finished off a Valen cross inside the area to make it 2-1.
