1-2: UD Almería U19 'A' straighten things out on Matchday 2

The UDA Academy Rojiblancos edged past Alhendín Balompié 1-2 with goals from Cobo and Ian. They host Betis U19, who are current leaders on Sunday

UD Almería U19 'A' straightened things out on Matchday 2 as they edged past Granada-based side Alhendín Balompié  with goals from Cobo and Ian. Last Saturday (Matchday 1), they lost at home against all odds to Málaga-based side San Félix. Then, things didn't work out, a penalty was wasted and the youth team suffered from the numerous changes in the squad, which required some adaptation time.

On the Alhendín pitch there was improvement in many aspects and although the rivals managed to tie after Cobo's opener 0-1, Zeus Carmona's boys had the ability to react and in a few minutes slotted home to make it 1-2. It was the 75th minute and UD Almería Under-19s 'A' knew how to remain in the lead.

Jorge, Pedro, Magaña, Ian, Iker, Fer, Jesús, Safi, Cristian, Cobo and Oscar were the starters. The season has started with a packed schedule and the UD Almería prospects are playing 3 games in a week.

On Sunday, at home, the third test comes against Betis Balompié Under-19s, which is the only team in Group IV that have emerged victorious in the two first fixtures that have been played so far.
