1-2: UD Almería 'B' face off another experienced and skilled team

The UD Almería prospects, who were not comfortable on the pitch, suffered their second defeat of the season at home. They were close to level things up at the end

UD Almería 'B' suffered the second defeat of the season, again at home, losing out 1-2 to Murcia-based side FC La Unión Atlético. The lads were as close to a tie as it was so far from victory because their rivals gave them almost no option to add the three points. After six games in the new tier, the UDA prospects remain undefeated away from home, while on home turf, they once again faced off skilled opponents.

Alberto Lasarte already warned on the eve that it was going to be a tough encounter, against a very dangerous team , who were one of the most experienced in Group IV. And the head coach was not wrong. His team were never comfortable on the pitch as they could not put the football tactics learned into practice and La Unión, who have already been able to achieve important results, knew how to control the game.

Despite this, they were not superior because after a few initial minutes of greater effectiveness, then chances followed one another. Of course, in defence they stood no chance and in attack they knew how to take advantage of what they had. On top of that, they went ahead with a first-half last-minute goal on the brink of half-time.

The 'B' team tried it in the second period and their boss made four changes in one go looking for a reaction when the 60th minute had passed, but the Murcianos continued to set the pace. Once again there were chances for both, but La Union proved to be more effective. So much so that Paco Sanz nearly grabbed a leveller in the final stretch, his shot went just wide, and then, in the 90th minute, the visitors doubled their lead 0-2.

Despite this, UD Almería 'B' did not give up and in injury time they pulled one back courtesy of Joan and even had a chance to tie.
