1-1: UD Almería Women settle for a draw at home

UD Almería Women could not get past the draw against CD Atlético Women Ben-Namiel, from Benalmádena at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium. The Indálicas outclassed their Andalusian rivals, being able to score more goals since they engineered a handful of scoring opportunities, especially in the second half. However, the ball did not want to go in. 

 

The Rojiblancas, who on the last Matchday (4) wrapped up their first victory of the season, were looking for a new victory in their second consecutive home game to get closer to the top positions in the table, however, apart from being down on their luck, the lack of pinpoint precision and the woodwork, the Málaga-based outfit surprised with the tie. They also won their first match, against Cádiz CF Women the previous match week.

 

As soon as the clash began, UD Almería Women took the lead with an opener from  Ukrainian Liubov and although the Indálicas were able to extend their advantage, Atlético Women Ben-Namiel tied with a free-kick. 

 

There was a lot left to go and the hosts showed themselves capable of netting again, although it was impossible despite the number of opportunities they had, but sometimes the ball does not want to go in the net.
