1-1: UD Almería 'B' vs Club Recreativo Granada ends with honours even
A goal from Morillo gives Alberto Lasarte's team a valuable point after a feisty affair with both sides being equally matched and neither side having been victorious
UD Almería 'B' have collected a valuable point in their visit to Club Recreativo Granada —Granada CF's 'B' team—after a match in which there were good chances for both contenders, so the share of spoils was the fairest result. Manu Morillo was in charge of scoring the goal for the youthful Rojiblancos that allowed Alberto Lasarte's team to score in this feisty affair.
From the get go, it was clear that both Andalusian 'B' teams would do everything possible to win. The first opportunities were enjoyed by the visitors, since Lorenzo and Hugo Neves put the goalkeeper's reflexes to the test. Shortly after, the clearest chance would be for Valen in a one-on-one that Fran Arbol sent for a corner.
Barely 20 minutes of play had passed. There would be no significant changes to the script of the match for the rest of the first forty-five minutes. What's more, chances were constant and this would make Hugo Neves become a hero, preventing a Nazarí attacker from being able to finish when he was already left alone in front of Bruno Iribarne. The defensive display of the Indálico attacker was truly spectacular.
In the second half, Almeriensistas and Granadinistas kept on putting in a brave fight in search of the three points, so it was necessary to wait until the dying embers to celebrate the goals. In the 79th minute, Eghosa put the hosts ahead, but the reaction of UD Almería 'B' was immediate, since in the 82nd minute, Manu Morillo made the final 1-1 score that did justice to the development of the full 90 minutes.
