1-0: UD Almería 'B' come back empty-handed from Torremolinos

The Rojiblancos put in a good performance, but a defensive mismatch caused the match winner and from then on, it was difficult to overcome the group pacesetters

UD Almería 'B' faced the group IX leaders IX of Tercera RFEF in a great match where they played good football and had chances to score. Despite this, an unfortunate defensive mismatch in the 30th minute led to Juventud de Torremolinos' opener. From that moment on, the young Rojiblancos fought tirelessly until the final whistle, however, the Málaga-based side managed to prevail and thus expanding their advantage in the standings.

Despite this defeat, the Academy Rojiblancos maintain their position in the play-off zone. The lads from Almería put in a good first half performance very close together in a low block, with confidence and standing up to the group leaders. The Rojiblancos spent a lot of time with the ball and had opportunities, however, a defensive mismatch in the 30th minute led to the 1-0 in which Camacho put Torremolinos ahead.

Despite this goal, the guests did not change their style of play and stuck to their game plan, yet the Malaga-based team avoided any chance for Alberto Lasarte's youth team.

In the second half, the Indálicos kept up the good work of the opening forty-five minutes, focused on the attack, well in defence and with the Torremolinos boys repelling the chances, but, finally that 1-0 would be the final result.

A painful defeat for the UD Almeria Academy team because they lost the opportunity to get closer to the leaders, but they continue to remain in fifth place, which gives them access to play in the play-offs for promotion.
