0-0: UD Almería B earn valuable point against solid rivals Club Polideportivo Almería
It was a tight match until the final whistle, although the visitors could have taken the victory with several clear chances that they failed to materialise in the dying embers. Despite not winning, this goalless stalemate is enough for them to stay in the play-offs zone
Two evenly-matched rivals UD Almería 'B' and Club Polideportivo Almería made things very complicated to be able to open the scoring and only the lack of success, especially by the youthful Indálicos in the dying embers, prevented them from recording a goal. In the end,the game ended nil-nil which is not bad since a point has been added to their tally, but which falls short after the last chances created and wasted.
From the opening whistle, both outfits played a tactical game by creating plays cleverly. Many passes in the midfield and defensive solidity marked a first half with few dangerous plays.
The second half did not change that much, same system, low block plays and little passing of the ball, however, at the end of the match, it would be UD Almería 'B' who stepped up a gear through dangerous situations towards the goal. First, René Pérez tried his luck from the edge of the box with a powerful low shot, yet the host keeper parried his effort away. Shortly after, Rachad had the first header, but his shot narrowly missed and Paco Sanz would also fashion a good chance to open the scoring, but he would not be able to hit the target either.
They were minutes when UD Almería 'B' could have won the match against Club Polideportivo Almería that was looking forward to the final whistle. In the end, the 0-0 goalless stalemate that prevailed throughout the full 90 minutes remained on the scoreboard, and thus earning both teams a valuable point, especially for the UDA Academy Rojiblancos, because they are still in play-off positions, but somewhat insufficient considering the opportunities they had.
