The Nigerian player, 23 years old and 1,92 metres tall, moves from FK Partizan Belgrade on a five-year deal
Umar Sadiq, a 23-year-old Nigerian centre-forward, becomes a new UD Almería player for the next five seasons after the agreement reached by the Rojiblanco club with the footballer and the Serbian club FK Partizan Belgrade.
The young African attacker made it to European football through Italian club Spezia and then made the leap to first-tier team AS Rome, who had him loaned to several clubs in other European countries such as Italy, Holland and Scotland in recent years. Last season, he signed for FK Partizan Belgrade, where he really excelled thanks to his fancy footwork. In point of fact, he scored a total of 23 goals in 52 games, in addition to providing 19 assists.
The previous campaign he scored 12 goals in 24 games in Super Liga Srbije, which is the Serbian top-flight, 4 in the Europa League, and 1 in the previous one of this continental competition. The Kaduna-born put his name on the scoresheet 6 times and 2 assists in 10 league games over the course of the current season
Despite his great height, Umar Sadiq is a talented, skilled centre-forward. He is fast and always maintains fluidity in his game. He is a great one for playing out from the back to keep possession and lean on his team-mates. Hence, in addition to scoring goals, his effective assists stats are still remarkable to this very day.
