René, Owona and Chema leave UD Almería
The goalkeeper and the number 10 have been loaned to the SD Ponferradina and Albacete Balompie, respectively. The centre-back quits the team
René Román, Lucien Owona and Chema Núñez are leaving Almería in this January transfer window, and do so in different situations after the agreements reached with these players of the UD Almeria’s first team.
In this sense, it should be pointed out that the gaditano goalie will be loaned to Ponferradina until the end of the season, while the Sevillian number 10 will also be loaned-out to join Albacete Balompie. At the end of this season they will return to the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium since both have a contract signed with the UD Almería.
As for Lucien Owona, the Cameroonian centre-back has reached an agreement with the club to terminate his contract as a result of the knee injury he suffers and the time that his rehabilitation process will take; both parties will continue to be linked in the future since the UD Almeria have offered the player a job position as soon as he decides to hang up his boots for good. He will also continue his recovery with the medical services of the UD Almería.
