UD Almeria signed José Carlos Lazo on loan from Getafe CF. The Sanlúcar de Barrameda-born player will play for Almeria until June 2024. In this way, the Rojiblano club continues to strengthen the team.
Last summer, Lazo joined Almería on loan from Getafe CF. Since his arrival, he has proved his great quality and versatility on the 18-yard box. In this sense, he has made 27 appearances wearing the red and white Almería jersey, scoring 8 goals and assisting twice.
Regarding his club career, after starting competing with Atlético Sanluqueño Youth Academy, Jose Carlos Lazo ended up playing for Real Madrid Fábrica. After playing several matches for Real Madrid Castilla, he was loaned to Villarreal CF in the halfway point of the 2016/17 season. Thereupon, Lazo joined fellow third tier side Recreativo de Huelva in a temporary deal in the 2017/2018 campaign. His great performance sparked Getafe CF’s interest in the winger and Lazo signed a permanent contract with the club, yet he was loaned to CD Lugo making his professional debut in the Second Division in the 2016/17 season.
